"Blogs are about being changed, more than changing others."
This what I mean when I'm talking about "Internal Disruption".
Johnnie Moore, in my opinion is one of the most lucid voices out there, when it comes to new ways to think about marketing. I consider him currently the best "marketing blogger" in the UK. I hope you'll add him to your blogroll.
[Bonus Link:] Me and Dennis "Don't shoot me because I'm an accountant" Howlett are having an interesting exchange over here in the comment section.
No disrespect, but are you selling out links or what? "Most lucid voices?", "best marketing blogger in UK?" -- urm..I disagree...his main blog page is full of "look this interesting article ", and "over at so-n-so, they're saying some fantastic stuff...". Not even half as interesting as yours. Nothing against Johnnie...he might be the best mktg guru out there, but his blog isn't.
I've been a long time reader of your blog...ever since I stumbled across your doodles and then your creative post series. I really love it, and I do like your frequent rants as well. Please don't go down the path of A-listers and indulge in you-link-me-I-link-you fest.
Man, just keep making more doodles and I'll hit as many ads you want. But pls don't dilute your blog.
Posted by: Suhail Kazi at January 17, 2006 8:52 AMThanks for the Kudos Hugh.
Sorry Suhail ain't so keen. He caught me on a day when I felt more like linking than writing screeds myself. So sue me.
Posted by: Johnnie Moore at January 17, 2006 10:06 AMNo worries, Johnnie. I think you might be right about Suhail, catching you on the wrong day etc...
But I happen to think ""Blogs are about being changed, more than changing others" is the best line I've read in a while. Hence my kind remarks.
By the way, I've mailed you the invoice ;-)
Posted by: hugh macleod at January 17, 2006 10:18 AMLinks versus screeds? I wish there was a better way to organize blogs so that people can wander in on your converations, which are always the most interesting.
The three posts on reinvention together, Hugh, Johnnie, Hugh are larger than the component parts.
Posted by: Alan Gutierrez at January 17, 2006 3:03 PMok, on a second reading maybe I come across as a bit too harsh, which I didn't intend to..I apologise for it. And maybe I did catch Johnnie on an off day. I now realise, my first comment on yr blog should've been something better.
By the way, I've mailed you the invoice ;-)
Come on, High, cut me some slack there :)

Posted by: Suhail Kazi at January 17, 2006 7:50 PMActually Suhail your input has been useful. I'm going to experiment with using del.icio.us to aggregate links when I only want to give a quick pointer to interesting stuff. That way I'll get a better sense of balance to the content... so thanks. I'm letting myself be changed :)
