"Searching For The Wrong-Eyed Jesus".
This is the best film I've seen for a while.
Funny, watching it I thought, "It's like 'True Stories', minus the filters".... then I read David Byrne is involved in the equation somehow.
Jim White's music's pretty haunting. Wow. Here's a background piece on him in The Guardian.
Here's some Google searches for it as well...
Posted by hugh macleod at January 17, 2005 12:48 AM | TrackBackI saw this film this weekend. Spell-binding, excellent movie, kept me hooked right through, but made me VERY glad I wasn't born in small-town southern USA - way too gothic.

Of course, there's A LOT more to the South than Hillbilies and Bible Bashing.
It's an interesting place...
Posted by: hugh macleod at January 17, 2005 11:44 AMDavid Bryne's label, Luaka Bop, produces Jim White, as well as several other excellent artists. I can't wait to see the film.
