positive-disruption technology
I coined the term "Positive-Disruption Technology" yesterday, while I was getting my daily fix of praising Robert Scoble to the skies (Yeah, I know, he's been getting a lot of gapingaction recently, whatever).
Sorry, but Man, I just LOVE that term. Sure, it could apply to blogs, but there are other possible applications.
I don't know if somebody had coined the term already or not (so far it doesn't appear on Google), but it really describes what I'm currently trying to create-invent-make-manufacture-build-evangelize-promote-pimp-market-sell etc.
It's all about killing EgoFriction. Rock on.

Posted by hugh macleod at October 24, 2004 7:09 AM | TrackBacki've been reading for about two months now, because the first few things i saw here were intriguing. but it turns out you're a lot more interested in becoming popular and making up your own hip, trendy lingo than you are in actual insights. you continually rail about how everybody doesn't get it except you, which i suppose helps fill that sucking void where your own self-confidence should be.
people who think the world is full of idiots that don't get it are, more often than not, idiots who don't get it. there are smart, compassionate people around who are succeeding in big ways, but they're all smart enough to know to avoid the likes of you. which goes pretty far towards explaining why you see nothing in your worldview but idiots who don't get it.
