birth and death

["Birth And Death". 2008. Pencil on paper. Approx 22x30 inches. Click on image to enlarge etc.]

I just whipped out this drawing earlier this evening. It took me about as long as it takes me to draw one of my typical "back of business cards" format. Just this time I'm using [A] a much larger piece of paper and [B] a very large carpenter's pencil. Living out in the desert has made want to loosen up a bit. We'll see where this goes etc.

It's artistic merit [or lack thereof] notwithstanding, I really like the sentiment, "Birth and Death will save the world". Rock on.

Have you ever considered trying brush & ink? It's a really exciting way to draw and I think your style would be really well expressed with awesome ink work. You just need a really good brush...

The loose style fits the sentiment.

Let's talk about recession, Gas prices, etc.

Kinda looks like it's been done on thin paper, taped-onto a TV screen (I've much preferred some of your other pics - to be frank, but I thought it was about time I commented, as I've been visiting here for ages..).

The previous pic seems like a reference to BigBrother/RealityTV....(?)

& I'm a bit of a vino-fan myself, but I've not seen your brand in England (that's where I is). Maybe I shop in the wrong places ¦:¬)

RespectØ.

The words are great, Hugh. To me they speak to the power of Change - continuous, unstoppable, in everything and everywhere.

Rock on indeed. Nice work.
