I've made a lot of t-shirts in my life. The one for blip.tv is without question one of my all-time favorites.

The shirt had an interesting genesis. I met up with blip.tv's Charles Hope for lunch the last time I was in New York. While we were waiting for the coffee to arrive, I drew him the cartoon, right there at the table. Within a few weeks Charles had taken the design and turned it into a t-shirt. The rest is history etc.

Hmmmm... Maybe I should be doing more of these.....

[Charles blogged both the lunch and the cartoon here.]

Who do I have to kill/kiss to get one of these? ;)

Nice design! I think you should shy from doing too many. The shirt'll be cool because of its uniqueness. Too many might make it less neat. I'm sure there's a middle way.

Charles is simply amazing, and I love the shirt! We were really glad blip.tv came down to Podcamp Philly- you should see the picture of Charles in the Luchador mask. http://www.flickr.com/photos/electricsky/1348458015/

Howdy Hugh, I've never been here before. I really like your art. It speaks to me like peanut butter speaks to dry bread.

anyway, out of curiosity, Do you like explodingdog.com?

I have no connection to exploding dog. So this isn't a plug or spam or anything. I just am interested in seeing if you think it's cheesy, or if its great.

My 0.02 cents... cut a deal with Threadless to introduce 'The Gaping Void Collection'

Thank YOU, Hugh! It is definitely my favorite blip.tv shirt.

I can see why - it's very esoteric.

I love my blip T-shirt! Thanks Hugh and Charles ;)

Wow. I hadn't realized how good your cartoons look on shirts until I actually saw it.

CafePress might have some of my money by the end of the week.

I second the Gaping Void Collection. I'd pet a skunk to get one. Not that that's a biggie -- hell, i've dated 'em and even married one skunk back in the day, so what the hey, right?

nice

I agree with Heath, a limited collection would be marvellous! However, I'd insist on a figure-flattering baby tee for wear in Miami, not a clunky big t-shirt. :-)

First time here, but what great concepts -- very clever. This is genius. Good luck with all -- i'll be linking friends.

About time you got hooked up with Blip.tv, Hugh. They're the best digital media hosts on the planet with respect to respecting creators.
