The "Friends of Blue Monster" Facebook page
now has 225 members, at time of writing.

Wow. That seems like a lot. Agree? Disagree?

I disagree...considering the Microsoft network on Facebook has 16,387 members, I'd have thought a few more should've signed up...

I'd call it a damn good start. How many are insiders?

it's probably just about right, given the nature of what it is, and the type of people you get on facebook. I've got about 145 friends on there at the moment, you're the only one i've never met in real life. I know for fact the other 144 wouldn't know what the blue monster is, i put that i work in the social media in my profile and they ask me what that is fairly regularly...so yeah, i'd say it's a pretty decent amount

It depends- are those Microsoft employees, gapingvoid readers such as myself who got their facebook account when they were in school, older Hugh readers....?

I would also look at the growth curve.

I think it's pretty good for just over a week or so...what would be useful it to see who the newest joiners are and even more useful to get them to add a few wee words about why they joined.

i agree it's small beer compared to the Microsoft network but I have plans to get more of them onboard :)

Key question: what's your average readership? What's the proportion of readers:fcbk group members?

If you have anything, say, less than 1000 readers, then that's pretty good. More than that, then no, not really.
