What's different now is that I'm far more capable, energetic, optimistic and eager to change the world at 59 than I ever was at any earlier age.I can relate. I'm also a bit of a late bloomer. Long story. I guess it beats peaking too early etc.
That was quick! I sent this to an ex CEO of mine and quickly got back a two word reply: "Fuck You".
He did include a smiley face though - so I guess it's all good ;)

Posted by: Rob La Gesse at December 10, 2006 1:13 AMThe thing with changing the world is that sometimes it's like banging your head against a brick wall but the longer you do it and the more concussed you get, the further away from the wall you stumble with each headlong charge. Eventually you stand so far back you see there's a door to the side, from then on in you tend to spend your time ringing the doorbell.
The thing is, head butt someone's house and they call the police, but ring the door bell and more often than not they'll answer the door.

Posted by: shel israel at December 12, 2006 2:05 AMSpeaking as a younger person (27) I'm hoping that I continue to gain more and more motivation, focus and drive to change the world as I get older. I think maybe as we mature and figure out who we are a bit better, we manage to put aside the things that waste energy and focus on changing the world in a way that makes more sense to our beings.
