"As you move down the long-tail, your marketing becomes less about the product, and more about the people." - Mack CollierAnother way of saying it: As you move down the long-tail, you stop "living the brand", instead the brand starts living you. I must disagree about Tara's post being brilliant when it merely swipes concepts from others such as thelongtail.com and images are stupidly sized wrong such that they're barely legible. It was a very boring read, frankly, from yet another blogger who gets clicks not from quality writing but from being female, being blonde, and chasing buzzwords like MySpace.
