What Disney taught me

As any decent scientist will tell you, human beings are hyper-social primates. That’s how we’ve evolved.

We share. We copy. That is how we learn, love and get things done. Not as one, but as part of a big dance.

In their professional development trainings, the Disney Institute emphasizes one key success factor in team building: organizations and leaders should strongly encourage peer-to-peer (employee-to-employee) care.

Because we need each other. Because we can’t do it – any of it – alone. Because we need to socialize, we need to feel, and we need to care.

We’re humans, after all.
