[gapingvoid’s acrylic art blocks]
I was going through the main gapingvoid website and thought to myself, wow, we do a lot of stuff! Instead of expecting people to spend hours wading through all the different pages, I thought listing everything in a single blog post would be make it a lot simpler, so here it is.
1. gapingvoid was founded by me (Creative Director) and Jason Korman (CEO) to affect change in business and business culture, using my distinct style of drawing.
2. We make art. A ton of it. We think it’s a powerful way to stir things up inside the office, help leaders lead. It’s a great way help change or amplify the culture of a business, and a lot more effective than most ‘conventional’ business tools.
3. We have a daily cartoon newsletter that goes out to tens of thousands of people, five days a week. I call it my “Happiness Engine”.
4. We do A LOT of art designed for the office, that’s really what we’re known for. We like to make “Art For Entrepreneurs”, not to mention, big companies that need to be more entrepreneurial.

5. We have an online gallery which sells the art, everything from framed prints to original drawings to paintings to acrylic art blocks. We have thousands of different pieces for sale, all arranged around how you want the art to be used: for the home, office, classroom, medical waiting room, reception, sales room etc.
6. We have a business gift division. This is a particularly exciting to me because I think it’s a very underserved market: too many offerings are boring and chintzy, we’re doing a great job of changing that.
7. We do blue-chip corporate client work. Clients include Rackspace, Roche, Microsoft, Havas Worldwide, Intel, Cisco, Ebay, Zappos, etc.
8. We do private commissions for individual clients. Birthday presents and whatnot.
9. We do Change Management consulting using our artwork to help foster new behaviors and remind people why they should care passionately about their work.
10. We create leadership tools. We create the kinds of objects that rally the troops, inspire, bring clarity and and leave a powrful impression.
11. We do a lot of stuff for corporate events. This includes doing giant images on big panels for immersive spaces, all kinds of schwag: t-shirts, stickers etc. and live-drawing at events.
12. We have this service called CultureMail (™), which means we create a bespoke daily email for your company, based on our own cartoon newsletter but aligned with the issues and ideas that shape your individual business.
13. We have licensing deals all over the place, people using our stuff for their own purposes. Everything from powerpoint slides to white paper illustration to illustrating books or designing business cards and logos.
14. We make animations. They make you business look cool, smart and friendly.
15. We all spend most of our waking hours at the office. The companies that win are the ones who make it the most meaningful. That’s where gapingvoid comes in.
16. We are unique. Nobody does what we do. Nobody.
