own your own journey

Your teachers in school will tell you all about your “career path”.

Then you get out in the real world and find out that there really isn’t a path.

There’s just the metaphorical forest, and it’s up to you to make your own way through it, somehow.

It’s a work in progress, it’s something that’s never existed before.

Sure, people can give you pointers, but they can’t walk it for you.

It’s your journey. You own it. It’s all on you.

That’s the adventure. That’s what being alive means.

And it’s wonderful.
