I choose this life

I gave this print to my wife, back when we first got engaged. It hangs in our living room, a nice little reminder etc.

“Reminding”. That’s what great art does- it reminds us of something important, be it a feeling, a memory, a sensation, an emotion, or an idea.

It bypasses all the usual channels and drills right into the center of our being.

It is not a transaction, there is no ROI.

It is a reminder that we are actually alive, here and now.

And that somehow it matters, even if the universe tries to prove you wrong.
