Decide what you want to be
Companies are like people. They don’t start getting what they want till they start knowing what it actually is that they want.
Do you want to stay small? Then stay small. Just don’t expect to raise any venture capital with that attitude.
And if you want to raise venture capital, don’t expect your new owners to be as disinterested in money and profit as you were.
But first, you need to decide what you want to be.
