Jessica joined Gapingvoid in 2022, bringing almost 20 years of experience in behavioral research to the team. Prior to joining Gapingvoid, Jessica was a Senior Director at Modus Outcomes, a division of THREAD Research. Modus conducts patient-centered outcomes research for the pharmaceutical industry. This work uses qualitative and quantitative methods to identify concepts that are important to patients and how best to measure these concepts within clinical trials with the ultimate goal of improving the lives of patients. At Modus, Jessica developed and managed the US team, provided operational and methodological support for all US-led projects, managed global projects, performed qualitative research, and was a member of the global leadership team to guide strategy and vision of the company.
In her previous life as an academic, Jessica spent seven years at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, MA. Within the Pediatric clinic, she conducted research to understand different factors in youth with diabetes better, increase adherence to diabetes treatment, and enable the transition from pediatric to adult diabetes care. She worked clinically with pediatric patients and their families to improve mood, treatment adherence, and coping strategies.
Jessica holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University and a BA in Psychology from Vassar College. She is also a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Massachusetts. She has two teenage boys who keep her busy, a husband who cooks for her, and two fluffy cats.
