When a culture turns poisonous, the best people leave.
The best people have options and they know it, so they get out while the still can.
That leaves just the hacks, lackeys and the no-hopers in charge, making the culture even more deadly, making the company even less viable.
If your company is able to recruit the best people, good for you, just remember that they’re only there because they want to be, not because they need a paycheck.
And the minute you forget that, is the minute they start looking for a way out.
