My own take on microbranding is to realise that small stuff matters. Too many brands try to bash us over the head with their fixed propositions, values statements, idealised lifestyles etc etc. (And we're just their customers, think what it's like for people who work there.)

Given that I'm geeky enough to be more excited about this than I would be about my birthday the following week, I hope that means I'd be of sufficient geek status to attend should said dinner become more than a rumor...

I love the quote. There is entirely too much shit for the consumer to wade through.
