Jeremy Bellenger reminds us that The Cluetrain has a dark side:
What I find interesting is so many people, bloggers included, forget they are often the person providing the alternative, working longer, harder and less securely than ever before to be the one winning the business, and ‘ripping the lid off’. There is a notable absence of discussion in the blogosphere by people about the cost of a Cluetrain ticket, or the price of the ever-lengthening Long Tail - to my mind, everyone just assumes that it can’t be that bad.Be careful what you wish for...
One could argue that those in posession of "the ticket" may work harder but in the end are somehow more fulfilled.
So even though the costs of the cluetrain ticket are high and often not immediately obvious, it is possible that the rewards are greater than ever, as least in some spiritual way.
