What is up with "etc." !?

I've been reading your blog for the last two years and always enjoyed it, but lately the eternal "etc" really starts annoying me.

From a marketing perspective: isn't it time to find new ways of communicating, while staying true to your brand?

most humbly,

T.

Everyone needs filler when they're communicating so close to the edge.

All this talk of meaning can become horribly self-aggrandizing if one isn't careful.

Thanks Hugh. This made my day.
I will frame this one.
This poem was my opening gambit at an undergraduate party 20 years ago. It worked. This will make an odd but neat wedding aniversary present.
