I know I'm biased, but methinks the Hallam Foe movie blog is going strength to strength. Kudos to Colin for "getting it" etc.
Nice to see a blog not totally crippled by the Hollywood P.R. machine etc.
Now we just need to get the frickin' design budget approved. Grrrrrr...
Besides that, I'm looking for ideas to make their blog more potent overall. Anybody?
[Suggestion #1: Stop truncating the long entries. Bloggers HATE that.]

Sharing the struggle as it happens will make creative people connect with the process and the output. A percentage of the audience will be better equipped to pay more attension - and it will benefit full community.

Easier access to all of your content, Hugh. It's sort of tediously disparate as it is. Otherwise I say keep it simple.
I also would actually like to see the names of the companies with whom you are working nearer the top of the blog; if I'm interested in checking out more I want to know exactly where I can find their sites. This is along the lines of my first suggestion, though, I guess.
Posted by: sky at April 13, 2006 9:28 PMHugh I keep wondering why you are so certain that "bloggers hate" truncated entries. I personally prefer them in cases where the posts get too long (though I admit Colin is truncating some posts that aren't very long at all) because I like to be able to have an overview of what's there. I just wonder what your evidence is that it's such an unpopular practice. I know an awful lot of very popular, very heavily-trafficked blogs (especially political blogs) that routinely truncate the longer posts ...
Also -- as I've mentioned before, you can simply use a feed aggregator to view the untruncated posts anyway ...
Posted by: Justin Grunau at April 15, 2006 11:50 PMI was unfortantly unaware of the Hallen Foe blog.
Give me a couple of days to follow it and I see what I can come up with.
You gonna follow this post Hugh?
Have a great day!
