I have taken down my Blogroll from my sidebar, and instead replaced it with my new Technorati widget. You can get yours here.
Posted by hugh macleod at March 3, 2006 3:42 PM | TrackBackHmmm so instead of just clicking on a link and going to a favorite blog, I have to click on the widget get another window AND then click on the link. Ugh. More work and I have too many windows open as is, I am less likely to visit your favoites this, but that just may be me Hugh.
Posted by: Thomas at March 3, 2006 5:24 PMWhy make Technorati a middle man between you readers - and your blog roll?
What's in it for the readers?

It's isn't just about you, Jeff ;-)
Posted by: Hugh MacLeod at March 3, 2006 11:00 PMIf I wanted to ignore your blogroll I'd read via RSS, part of the reason I read blogs from a browser is to see who they read and follow those link, but it another step away makes it less likely I'll bother as a reader.

Posted by: Hugh MacLeod at March 4, 2006 1:30 AMI, too, have started using my Technorati faves on my site... It's only been a few days, but I think I'm going back to my blogroll. *I* find it a hassle to go through Technorati to read my own favourites, clearly everyone else will... I will add a link to my TecnoratiFaves though...
Posted by: gia at March 5, 2006 11:59 AMThe trouble with standard blogrolls, useful as they are, is that they're a pain to keep updated.
I do most of my reading through Bloglines these days, anyway.
